Chrobry Fest 1025 – Early Medieval Festival in Opole
We invite you to the first edition of the early medieval festival “Chrobry Fest 1025” in Opole!
In 1025 – exactly 1000 years ago – an event took place that was permanently recorded in the pages of history. Bolesław, called the Brave, was crowned the first king of Poland. In memory of these events, we will move to the times of Piast Poland, armored warriors, and great battles that formed the foundations of our modern statehood.
You will witness exciting fencing and archery tournaments. You will see the power of the Piast cavalry in all its glory. You will have the opportunity to try the crafts of our ancestors – blacksmithing, dyeing, weaving, and pottery. The artistry of the royal falconer’s work will be revealed to your eyes, and your palates will taste dishes that our ancestors enjoyed. You will be able to touch history in a way as direct as never before!
And all this on July 5, 2025, at the Museum of the Opole Village in Opole.
